Known IssuesI'll post the known problems here. If you see a problem that's not listed here, first check the FAQs and if your question or problem is not addressed there, then please file a bug report. If you have a suggestion about a new feature you'd like me to add, file an enhancement request. Some reports do not appear to work on certain versions of Windows. The Pet Adoption Report and Pet Profile Report seem to have issues running on certain computers (Win XP). If you get an error when trying to run those reports, please download the new versions and let me know if they do NOT work. Please don't download these unless the versions you have don't work. You can download an updated Foster/Adopter Mailing List report and Volunteer Mailing List report here. The zip code on the Foster Home List report is truncated and does not show all the digits. Please download an updated Foster Home List report file and Foster Profile and save it to your resqtracker\reports folder (usually c:\Program Files\ResQTracker\Reports). When I click the rescuer button, the Rescuer screen opens but I get a Key Violation error. When I click OK, all my volunteers are gone and I cannot add any more. If you have ResQTracker version 2.5 prior to build 2.5.0.30, please use the Utilities menu > Search for Updates option to download the latest patch. The software will prompt you to exit ResQTracker and run the RQTUpdate program in your c:\program files\resqtracker folder. Once you run that program, ResQTracker will restart and ask if you'd like to delete the RQTUpdate.exe file. You can say Yes; you won't need it again. General file transfer error. Error #2. Please check your target location and try again If you get this error during setup, please download the program again. There was a problem with an earlier version of the installer that I had on my web site. I registered ResQTracker but my unlock code doesn't work. Use Windows Explorer to find the RQT.ini file in the ResQTracker directory (usually c:\program files\ResQTracker). Open the file in Notepad and find the line that starts with OrgName= That's where your rescue group name is. Put your cursor at the end of the line and see if there's an extra space at the end. If there is, remove it and save the file. Your unlock code should work now. If that doesn't work, that means something has changed in your RQT.ini file that is used to 'calculate' the unlock code. Just change everything back to the way it was when you registered. I registered ResQTracker a while ago but after I upgraded to version 2.5 my unlock code stopped working. In an earlier version of the upgrade, the System ID was reset to 1. Use ResQConfig to change the system ID to what you used originally. If you're unsure, look at the first two digits of the Pet ID of a pet you entered before upgrading -- that will tell you your system ID. Unable to enter data into Mobile Phone field of Foster Screen Fixed 9/3/02. If you have build 2.0.5.0, click here to download the patch (to find out your build number, use Windows Explorer to find the ResQTracker.exe file, right-click it and select Properties. Look at the Version tab - the File Version is the build number). Extract the entire ZIP file to your ResQTracker directory. The fixed file will be extracted to its correct directories. This patch is NOT needed for build 2.0.5.1 and later. |
